The roles and duties of a Chess Club committee member can vary depending on the specific structure and goals of the club. However, here are some common responsibilities and roles that committee members often have in our Suncoast Chess Club:
It's important to note that the specific roles and duties of committee members can be adjusted based on the size and needs of the Chess Club. The committee members typically work together as a team to ensure the smooth operation of the club and the fulfilment of its objectives, which often include promoting and enjoying the game of chess. Most often Committee members take on multiple roles as the amount of work may not be sufficient. Here at the Suncoast Chess club, an average of 4 hours a week is spent on activities. We are a small club of averaging just over 100 Members.
All Committee Members carry a voting authority of one vote.
