To All Esteemed Gentlefolk and Persons of Discernment,
Pray, take heed of this most distinguished notice: On Saturday, the Ninth of August in the Year of Our Lord, 2025, at precisely two o’clock post meridian, shall be convened a tournament of most noble bearing and spirited enterprise—the Champion’s Enclave Blitz Chess Tournament.
The affair shall be hosted within the hallowed walls of the great Chess Club, wherein the finest minds and sharpest tempers of the realm shall engage in a contest of rapid calculation and gallant stratagem.
Let it be known that this is no idle pastime, but a test of wit and honour, wherein each move may prove one’s mastery, or herald one’s undoing. The format shall be that known as Blitz, where speed is as the breath of life and hesitation the herald of defeat.
Honours and accolades, and perchance even material reward, shall be bestowed upon those whose judgement doth not falter and whose nerve doth not quail beneath the pressure of the clock’s stern gaze.
Let the pieces be arrayed, the clocks wound tight, and the challenge embraced with the dignity and vigour befitting such a noble pursuit.

Suncoast Chess Club presents
2025 Winter Family Day Chess Event
Register Online by midnight Saturday July 12th, 2025. Check in on the day at the venue by no later than 11:30am.
Tournament starts at 12:00pm sharp. Strictly No late Comers!
Format: This is an open event for adult and junior players of all ages and abilities. This is a family-friendly tournament with 7 Rounds with an allocated time of 15 minutes on a digital chess clock or 25 minutes when adjudicated. This tournament is QJ Rated.
Prizes/Rating Groups: Medals will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each division, Best Junior Girl and the President’s Encouragement Award. The number of prize groups will depend on the number of entries received.
How to register: Entry Fee: $25 per player. Additional family members $10 per player (includes parents or siblings)
A canteen with tea, coffee and
light refreshments will be available. (Cash only)
